I relocated from Denver to a small, rural mountain town nestled in a valley that is surrounded by the majestic Sangre de Cristo range. Westcliffe is unique, and its quaintness, homespun values, and community spirit inspired me to memorialize my new hometown in a folk art style. It was the first dedicated “dark sky community” in Colorado, as you can see with this spectacular image of the Milky Way by local photographer, Scott Dankoff.
